Sounds like the ignition switch is going bad and you may need to have the codes read to figure out why the light is coming on to begin with, try Auto Zone , they'll read the codes for free and help you with the replacement parts needed.

Interior lights flickering or staying on

Have you recently done any work in the doors? It sounds like a short or connection issue with your door lock harness inside your door.

I have a 95 jeep and it has trouble cranking. It takes a long time for fuel pump to start . Have changed fuel pump

Sounds to me like your jeep has what's known as the delayed start check engine light problem. Check to see if your check engine light comes on, when you turn on the ignition, at the times when the fuel pump is 'delayed'. If no check engine light comes on then your ecu needs to be repaired or replaced. Both options are available on ebay. The jeep will not start until that check engine light finally coming on.

Check engine light flickers wnen cold accleration

There is a lot of things that can be causing that, the check engine light is usually associated with the sensors and Cadalliic converter. I would wait until it came on to stay then check for problems. If it bugs you put a piece of tape over it. That doesn't go for the oil or temp light just 'check engine'. It's a FORD it will keep going when all the rest quit. Got 47 years of Fords behind me, wouldn't have anything else. dhgill1949

My dashboard and gauges keep flickering on and off

sound like you have a lose connection it could be the cables on to the dash or the socket it fits to. you would need to remove the dash and clean the connection and re fit it. if you push on the dash does it stop. ? just check this first as some times its just a tiny amount of play in the connections that's the problem .

Overhead lights flicker and stay on when the car is off, pulled fuse (20A-#7 cluster), lights go out when car is off but stay on when car is running. note: an after market stereo was installed in the jeep...

Have you tried replacing the plunger switches for the doors, if your lights are flickering and/or staying on they are probably going bad. You can pick them up at just about any parts store

Lights flickering

If the light is flickering and not just becoming brighter or dimmer with engine rpm, I'd suspect an electrical short, possibly between the battery and alternator or inside the alternator itself. have the alternator output checked before going further with diagnosis and before it fails completely and becomes more difficult to diagnose.

Multifunction switch is bad. Tell the dealer they should have been able to diagnose it easily by the symptoms you describe. It will not throw a fault code by the way. The dealer must be incompetent.
