Question about 1985 GMC Jimmy
Your power steering pump is located in the forward portion of your engine compartment (drivers side). After finding it there are two lines going out of it (they look like a black water hose). They go to your steering box. Remove the hoses with the appropriate wrench then remove the mounting hardware (2-4 bolts it should come right out after the mounting bolts are removed.

Don't use a standard bearing puller it doesn't work and may damage the pulley. I went to a local parts store "Salvo" and they had a Ford Power Steering Pump Pulley puller. It works. It seems like you have to put as so much force into it that something would break, but no, it just starts to come off, worth all of the 17.00 I put into it.

Check for any hidden mounting bolts. There may be a rear mounting bolt. Make sure you have removed all mounting bolts. Recommend buying a Chilton's manual from Autozone.
