Headlamps on, both brake lamps are on;hit brake, left brake lamp brightens, right lamp remains dim;headlamps off, hit brake, only left lamp lights. What could be the problem?

Your right brake light is not the same bulb as your rear running light that comes on with the headlights. Different bulbs. Your right brake light is simply burnt out or has worked its way out of the connection. Take it to Advance Auto Parts. They may even change it for you. Not a big problem.

Tail and brake lights on right rear are out

The most common culprit is a blown fuse.

Your manual should be able to direct you to the location of the fuse box and applicable fuse. Replace fuses only with those of the same rating called for in the manual.

Headlight switch on makes tail light dim

there must be a short circuit which powers tail lights and brake lights. probably you have a dual filament bulbs which have both brake and tail light together. check for bulb, socket/or bulb housing and harness of that light.

1999 Chevrolet Suburban C1500 need to know the right fuse to get that goes for my rear passenger side brakelight

Only one fuse control's both rear brake light's, if you don't have voltage at right rear brake light socket only, and I have seen this alots, it's going to be the tail light circuit board, that shorted out, NAPA auto parts stock this part, part number 6803926 cost about $34.00.

Rear tailight , top, goes off when I press the

This sounds very much like a grounding problem on your lamp cluster, some times a cluster of lamps use a common ground ( negative wire). Also some cars use the car body as the ground connection. I think the reason the tail light works when the brake light is off is because the tail light is grounded through the brake light bulb. Check the bulb holder and the ground connection.
