Error Code P1507 is an Idle Control System Malfunction (fail safe).Check the IAC motor and valve. But if IAC valve and motor both are already replaced, and the same error code 1507 comes up then in that case ,the intermittent neutral switch is in action. It has to be replaced.

The neutral switch is reporting that the tranny is in neutral when it is not - thus the engine tries to idle back, fails because it's under a load, dies and sets the code. The idle air controller is working but the ECU thinks it isn't - because it refuses to do what the ECU wants it to - when in fact the ECU is doing the wrong thing due to poor data collection.T
he neutral switch is on the side of the tranny - doesn't have anything to do with the clutch being pushed or not. Note:--The switch to be replaced is the neutral position switch, not the neutral/clutch start switch.

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Rough idle, acceleration and check engine light went from being on to flashing on and off

Use a ODB-2 meter to read the problem code. That will give you a clue on what to look for next.

Why does the check engine light stay on in 1999 sienna went off after new battery was installed...thenon again

The engine light stays on because the computer has detected a fault code, when disconnecting the battery the memory is cleared but the fault code will eventually be set in the computer again until the problem is fixed, since there are many reasons for the check engine light to come on it is necessary to connect the vehicle to a diagnostic computer that can read the codes, this can be done at most repair shops, the dealer or some autoparts stores.

Ran out of gas recently. when refueled and started again, check engine symbol stayed on? well mainted and has always ran great since new.

Sometimes the check engine light will come on if the fuel cap is not on tight enough. Check the fuel cap for an intact seal and install at correct tightness.

A major auto parts store will read out the stored trouble code in the car's computer for free. If the code pertains to the fuel EVAP system, the code probably set because you ran out of gas. Copy down the code and then have it erased. The check engine light should go out. If it comes on again, have the code read and the problem checked out.

I have an 08 Mazda 6 4 cylinder, when I went accelerate my car hesitated then the check engine light came on, what is the problem

The check engine light indicates that a trouble code is stored in the vehicle's computer memory. An OBD II code reader is needed to read out the code and explain it. Major auto parts stores will use one of these readers to read out your code for free. With the code, a diagnostic routine can be developed to trouble shoot the problem.

My 1996 honda accord check engine light came on and it started to idle like the spark plugs have went bad. can you give me an idea of what the problem might be?

Not yet. The check engine light coming on is letting you know that the self diagnostic function of the engine computer has detected a problem and set a trouble code. That code can be read by a code reader. Most major auto parts stores have these code readers and will read your code for free. The code number can tell you/us where to start looking for the problem.

Have a warning light lighting up on my 2000 jeep.kinda looks like a movie camera.what does it mean? its upper right hand corner of dash....

That is a actually a side view of an engine, which is called a CEL ( Check Engine Light) and it will be lit up Orange in color. When it lights up it means the (ECM) Computer in the car is telling you that it has received a Trouble Code from a sensor or engine component and you need to have a OBD II (On Board Diagnostic II ) scanner or code reader hooked up to the Diagnostic Port located under the driver's side footwell. The reader will extract a specific code from the computer which a mechanic will look up and they can determine what component needs to be repaired or replaced. You can go to any AutoZone store and you can have the code read for free. Click on the link below for more information pertaining to this event.

Can I read the computer on my car with out the check engine light

hey snackdaddy20,

Yes it is true, those parts stores only see active codes because their scan tools are very basic. Now a dealership scan tool can read historic codes as well as active codes.

If it went off i really wouldnt worry about it, but if your really dedicated on wonder what it is then i would take it to your local dealership.

Reset indicator lights

The " Check Engine" pertains to the computer sysytem informing you of a failure code stored. In order to clear , the problem must first be solved, and then clear the computer. Tire prssure warning light advises of low air pressure in any of your tires. Check tire pressures. A fault in a particular tire valve sensor may also indicate a fault if all pressure are up to spec

Engine light came on Daewoo Laganza

DTC P1507 - Idle Speed Actuator (Close) Open

That code plus the low idle is usually caused by a sticking IAC (idle air control) valve. The valve is located on the intake manifold. In order to solve it, will need replace this.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

05 passat-check engine light on-car sort of hesitates...

U need to have codes read that are stored on the cars computer. The engine light on is an indication that something is not operating properly, and u confirm this by your description of the cars performance. U can have the codes checked for free at most car parts stores. The codes are read by a scan tool that is plugged into a port in your car and it reads the stored codes on the cars computer. The stores employees will tell u what the code(s) are, and suggest what should be done to correct the problem. Writer the codes down for future reference. Let me know how u make out.
