How do I determine what is pulling down buss voltage on o2 sensors and speed sensors and others

This sounds like a ground problem. IF it was a draw down on the voltage, it would blow fuses. Check the ground on the ECM.

Cant locate ecm fuse

The fuses for the computer are in the box near the battery. Not sure why you need them, if you are trying to turn the check engine light off you have to clear the trouble codes with a scanner.

I replaced my fuel pump when my 1999 yukon wouldn't start one day. Now still won't start and I replaced the fuel filter. There is pressure but no gas getting to the engine. Don't know w

Guessing when you say pressure that you have fuel pressure and that the fuel pump is working but the injectors aren't pulsing and injecting fuel into the cylinders. The way your fuel system works is that you should have constant power at each injector and the vehicles computer (the ECM) gets readings from different sensors and send a quick ground pulse in order to complete the circuit. each time the ECM sends a ground pulse, that's when the injector injects fuel so the ground signal/pulse is quick (on and off, one and off..you get the idea). The first thing I would do if your fuel pump is pumping and you have fuel pressure is check the fuse. The fuse you want to check should be a 20 amp fuse in the fuse panel under the hood of the vehicle in the engine compartment. Below is a diagram of the fuse layout and I have marked the fuse you need to check (the ECM 1 fuse). If that fuse is blown you will not have that constant power at the injectors. If blown replace and that should solve the problem unless it blows again which would mean you have a short. If it isn't blown make sure you have power at all time when the key is on. The pink wire at each injector should be the power wire. If no power you need to locate the open wire for that circuit (coming from that fuse to each injector). This is where I would start. If you need further instructions as far as any more testing procedures, reply/comment here or feel free to email me directly at csautomotivecars@att.net. Hope it's as simple as a fuse for your sake and I hope this helped.

MY 1999 GMC YUKON THE FUSE FOR THE TAILIGHTS AND DASHE BLOWS EVERTIME I PUT NEW ONE IN AND LIGHTS GO OUT

The fuse is doing it's job. Saving the wiring harness from melting down into it's self and shorting out everthing next to it. No simple soultion. Some one need to get in there and find where the wire is shorted out. DON'T bypass or replace the fuse with some thing bigger. This will cause bigger problems & $$$$$$ down the road

ECM I fuse keeps blowing in my 1996 1 ton gmc sierra 4x4 with a 454 v8 engine whats causing it

For the ECM 1 fuse to open you obviously have a short to ground , start with the injector disconnected and see if ECM 1 fuse still blows. If it does disconnect crank sensor, also inspect wires for the injectors or any rub through wires here is a diagram cansmo_178.gif

1997 yukon keeps blowing ECM-1 fuse, 20 amp. Ran for awhile after replacing, then blew fuse again, and again?

Hi, here is what runs on the fuse: ECM, injectors, coil, MAP sensor, crank sensor, IAT sensor, EGR solenoid. Of these, only the EGR solenoid has a delayed operation. Recommend you disconnect the EGR solenoid to see if the fuse will hold up. The solenoid is next to the thermostat housing as shown below. If the fuse doesn't blow with the solenoid disconnected, replace the EGR solenoid. Please let me know if you have questions and thanks for using FixYa.

1997 yukon, keep blowing ECM - 1, 20 amp fuse under hood . I had replace fuel pump a few months back, could it be a bad connection on the fuel pump?

i would check wire harness for bare wire but first i would look under that massive fuse box under hood, i kept blowing air cond relay and i traced it back to corroded connection on that fuse. not saying this is it and i hope it is that simple for you. other than that research exactly what the ecm-1 CONTROLS and search, test, grounds those systems. If i can come across any other symptoms i will forward them to you.

Ecm fuse keeps blowing

just fixed this problem, change your fuel pump module, fuel sending unit shorts out on fuel level swing arm blue wire... unfortinately you must replace it as unit because of the design, fuel pump and tank guage fuel level sending unit are a one peice item, fuel tank has to come out to change unit, about a $ 700.00 repair too... fuel pump module runs about 350 to 700 $ depending on aftermarket or factory, try to find one with a lifetime warranty even if it is $ 50.00 more worth it..labor is about $ 250 to $ 400 depending on shop labor rate... definate problem though I ahve no doubt, common problem on GM... please rate my help, thanks...
