Question about 2004 GMC Envoy

My windshield washer sprayer on the drivers side stopped working. If you press the button to spray fluid it starts to come out and then dwindles down to nothing. What do you think the problem is and how do I go about fixing it?

Get a can of Compressed Gas, like the type for computer key bords. Hold the straw up against the hole on the nozzle, and shoot air back into the line. cleared my clog line

If the passenger side is working, first check the hoses, then check the nozzle on the hood

    Thanks Billio0104,

I have checked the nozzle and tried the pin thing and it didn't help at all but after reading a few other comments on the subject there were several that suggested to disconnect the hose and use an air compressor to blow air through the nozzle to see if that will unclog it so I will try that when I get home tonight. Fingers crossed I will be able to clean my windshield with the sprayer again.

How to fix a misdirected windshield washer

You can use a small sharp pick and insert it into the sprayer nozzle and gently move the nozzle in the direction needed. It may take a couple of tries to get it where you want it

Try disconnecting the tubes from the spray head (under the hood). The press spray button, if nothing comes out, you have a bad pump. It liquid is pumped, then you need to clean or replace the spray heads - they are clogged or damaged

My 2006 Dodge Dakota windshield washer fluid does not spray. I checked the washer pump and it works. The fuses are all good. And the wipers work. When I press the windshield washer button inside the truck...

If the pump works, something should be flowing thru the hose to the spray nozzles.
And if the pump works, everything electrical is working.
How do you know the pump works ?

Good fues and new washer pump. still not pumping fluid. Not frozen either. Wipers and controls seem to still work at trun signal arm??

The little pipes that spray the windshield washer fluid clog very easily. Use either a very thin piece of wire or a very small drill bit (a welder's "tip cleaner" works perfect!) to clean out the sprayers. Use only 100% bottled washer fluid and not tap water since the minerals will clog up the sprayers.

Make sure the rubber hoses between the pump and the sprayers did not pop off or split. If your fluid level goes down but you get no spray it is going somewhere it is not supposed to.

When you activate your windshield washers, you should be able to hear that little pump run- it makes a very distinctive sound. If you do not hear it, there is a wiring problem.

your rear wiper motor might be faulty,in the front i would check your fluid level-if it is full and you hear the pump running-check your washer lines to see if they are pinched-usually around where the hood closes
