1990 GMC suburban actuator and fuse location. There is not one on front differential and no place for fuse in fuse block. 4 wheel will not engage. No owners manual

The actuator will not be on the front differential or drive line, it will be on the transfer case, which is mounted behind the transmission. Follow the front drive shaft back from the front differential, and the component at the rear of the driveshaft is the transfer case. That is where four wheel drive is engaged/disengaged.
I'm not familiar with your vehicle, but if you have a separate lever to engage 4wd, there will not be a fuse for the actuator - it is a manual system. If the 4wd is selected electrically, check that all wiring and connectors on the transfer case are in good condition.

Four wheel drive not working on a 1990 chev 1500 pickup with manual tranmission?

Yep! it does sound as if you've lost the proper connection between your engine flywheel and the transmission clutch-plate. That baby is crying for your TLC after being such a faithful trooper all these years.

1989 sidekick lost all ****** fluid while towing

Is this a 4 wheel drive or a two wheel drive? I am assuming automatic transmission. If a 2 wheel drive automatic, it isn't designed to be towed four down. READ the owners manual. It needs to be towed on a dolly... backwards! If a 4 wheel drive, it most likely the transfer case wasn't in neutral. Also, read the manual.

1990 ford f150 in four wheel drive high is driving sluggish and will not go in reverse

The lack of reverse indicates on this transmission that it has failed internally and the transmission will need to be removed and rebuilt.

Typically rear wheel drive. Sometimes four wheel drive. I have not seen a front wheel drive truck.

Wont go into four wheel drive lights dont come on

mounted to the tranfer case you will see what looks like a window motor. Round with wires coming out. This is the actuator motor for the four wheel drive. A lot of times if they are not used the brushes will stick in the motor and if they do the four wheel drive will not engage. Sometime you can tap on the motor and it will work. You also will have a fuse for the four wheel drive in your fuse panel. Good luck, hope this helped

Since yours is front wheel drive, simply detach the diff from the chassis. Open up the diff which consists of two halves. The transmission axe has a spider bearing assembly held by four bolts. On opening the top half of the diff, you will be able to separate the rear axle shaft.......sodeep

Constant whine when driving and wheels lock/skid in sharp turns

One way to track down the noise; since sound travels through metal its hard to pinpoint when driving in the car.
Jack all four wheels off the ground securely (preferably a lift) and run the car with the wheels spinning. Then, without dying, listen for the noise. The dealer can do it for you as well. But sounds like a bad differential.
