I own a 2002 Nissan altima 2.5S which I bought from someone at 129000 KM & now it is at 213000 KM. I get done regular oil change every 3 Months or 5000 KM. Got sensor changed from dealer on past 2 years.
Now the Engine line is ON and the last time when I get it checked at dealership, he said machine figure out Small Leak & I should not have any problem with it & keep on driving.
I showed it to some other mechanic yesterday & he said "Misfiring # 3". He need to analyse more to detect problem as per him.
I am not sure what to do? Light goes ON and Off by itself. When it start flashing, Car starts shakin & if I keep driving, light just stay on and shacking stop?
If anyone can help me, I will appreciate.

youi reset service interval ,done one a while back but i cannot remember what i done ,i know i had to use the radio controls to di ,i held the onboard display on and went to settings then done something and the it reset the service interval i also reduced the service interval to 6000 miles
2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 S maintenance manual says 60 k miles or 48 months to flush the coolant and replace it. 105 k miles or 84 months replace the timing belt.
If there is no loss of Coolant, which is a sign of Head gasket failure to the combustion area, which generates white smoke, I would recommend after 4000 miles of your mileage alone, a complete Service of Engine Oil and filter, AIR filter and Fuel filter.
An inexpensive way to find a recurring combustion problem, At 60k miles, the Spark plugs should still be good, but pull them anyway, just to confirm.

No. It's never a good idea to take your car to the dealer unless is a problem that falls under an electrical or physical malfunction that would be still under warranty. A standard oil change and tune up on a well maintained vehicle shouldn't run you over $100-$150 at most.
check engine light has nothing to do with oil level. Only the red engine light does. It sounds like you are burning a lot of oil and it is poisoning your catalytic converter. Your converter is killing itself trying to treat all the unburned oil that is coming to it. It will get so hot that it swells inside and clogs it up. Why you are burning oil is the question. Only 3 possibilities. Past the piston rings, past the valve stem seals or a plugged pvc valve and its hoses. Clean the PVC hose and change the PCV first. Changing the cats now will just kill them again until you fix the oil burning. Autozone will do free scan test for fault codes by the way. PCV won't show up there though.
You can buy cheap engine on ebay or at car-part.com. page with asterisk is lowest price.
Don't forget to change the filter with each oil change. When you change the oil, the soot from combustion sticks to the inside of the motor and does not all come out with the oil. Also there is always a little old oil here and there in the motor that does not drain out, and that will give it's color to the new oil. You can have your motor rinsed, but it is more important to change the filter regularly. Stay with one brand of oil, don't switch around. You can change the viscosity (30w/40w) from summer to winter. It's not a great idea to have thick oil in a motor if it gets below freezing outside. A rattle can be a heat shield coming loose, you'll have to have help to find it.
