Listen for the air ride pump when you start the car...
if that is not functioning , then we can move to the fuse block and check the fuse for the air ride susspention system.

SOURCE: air ride suspension not working. blew the fuse

i have the same problem with my 89 mark 7. i pulled off the dryer to test it for a clog. dryer was clear. but now i cant get the hoses back into the dryer. i suspect the relay now since i replaced the compressor with a new one. i did find one bad o-ring in one of the airbags. replaced it but im still stuck. so dont disconnect your dryer. check the relay in the trunk it's close to the on/off switch.

Air suspension does not work

The best way to fix Air ride issues is to get a conversion kit. We paid $200 online for ours and my husband installed the new parts. We were told fixing the air ride could cost upwards of $3000. Experience from several people told us that parts on the air ride go out quickly once it starts having problems. Ours rides just as well as before and we will never have another air ride problem again. Our Navigator is AWD 4x4.

Can not get the new air ride compressor to come on

Make sure the trunk switch is turned on. Your doorjam and trunk switches are wired into the Air-ride. They must sense the openings are closed before the lift compressor will work.

There are level controls for height. If the car was put on a lift without the switch being turned off, the positioner may be stretched beyond working.

It may be helpful for you to get some idea of the mechanism involved in operating the shock absorbers in your vehicle. Refer this information. It may then be a matter of finding the parts involved if replacement is required

Our 2005 Navigator is like sitting on it's front wheels. The air suspension is not working. Last fall we had an issue with the driver's front side not leveling. The dealership replaced a piston looking...

Anyone with a Mountaineer or Explorer should remove
the Factory Air Suspension, and replace with conventional
shocks/struts.

There are lots of companies with those products

I do not believe, even a dealer can resolve all the
issues,especially with the Mountaineer

When you go over 2 or 3 thousand dollars trying to keep
believing, you can get it to work, you will switch from
the air ride, and end what should have never been on
those vehicles in the first place.

My mother has a 97 lincoln with air ride suspension. Noted that the car was low to the ground this morning & did not drive it. Could this leak off after sitting awhile or is there another suggestion...

It's always possible that letting the car sit for long periods of time can adversely affect the air ride suspension but it's not always the case. A leaking air bag is quite common on that model. If after you start the car the bags fill up, then you've confirmed that the compressor is working and the most likely problem is a bad air bag. Depending on where you live, there are companies that specialize in air spring repair instead of going to a dealer where you pay top price for both parts and labor. There are also replacement kits available for doing the job yourself as well as alternatives to the air ride suspension with standard parts. I hope you found this post to be helpful. Best of luck! What is the common issue regarding the air bags for the suspension?

there is a ride hieght sensor on rear lower control arms creck for damage and connection.over load rear suspention,4/5 people on back bumper with key on see if pumps up.also check fuses.try jumping compress to test compressor.worst case replace struts and use coil springs, eliminating air ride issues.

My 2003 lincoln navigator just left garage and now it leans completely to the left

This vehicle has a air ride suspension option which can read the height of the vehicle, when weight is added the suspension will compensate by appling air to the front and rear shocks. When weight reduced it will lower by venting air from the shocks. If the entire vehicle sits low there is a problem with the air compressor circuit (quite often water in the system and freezes causing damage to the compressor). In your case if only one side is low, check the front and rear shocks, the lowest wheel probably has a leaking shock and can't rise.

I have an 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Baurer, Check Air Suspension light is on. The suspension is not working at all truck rides very low and bounces every time a bump is hit, what could be wrong?

Any part of the air ride suspension system could have failed.
I would replace the air suspension, with a conversion, such as strutmaster or similar product, other wise you have to diagnose your current system and repair.
