If you have someone to assist you... you can check to see if it is the motor gone bad by having them bang on the door while you opperate the window switch.... this action should cause a brief contact to happen between the brushes and the motor armeture... and will cause the motor to function if it is gone bad...
If that does not work... then I would suggest checking the wire loom that is in the door jamb... to see if there are any broken wires from operating the rear drivers side door alot.....

It sounds like the motor or regulator for your back window has failed. The way to test this is get in the car, close all the windows, and when it is quiet, click the down button for that window. If you hear the motor struggling, then it is jammed. If you hear nothing, then the motor is bad. This is not to difficult for the average do it yourself-er. Please let me know if this helps!!! Thanks!!

If its a power window, one of 2 things may have happened-the window motor is shot, or the wires are corroded or disconnected.you have to take the inner door panel off to see the motor and connections

2002 power window dodge caravan pass side window wont go up or down. works w/ the main dr side control. where would the fuse be for this component? any other thoughts to fix this cheaply

The only problem with this vehicle is that it needs a new window switch on the passenger side door.If the main switch on the drivers door works and the one on the door that the window won't go up on won't work it replace the switch on that door they all work on the same fuse.

Passenger Side Windows arent working

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU EITHER NEED A NEW WINDOW REGULATOR. THE MOTOR MAY STILL BE GOOD BUT THE REGULATOR MAY NOT BE ALLOWING THE WINDOW TO ROLL DOWN OR UP, BECAUSE IT IS WORN OUT.

check for power at that window motor plug behind door panel while operating window switch. No power? replace window switch. Have power? replace motor.

Hello, I have a 2002 Dodge caravan and I am having trouble with the driver side power window. The window will not go up or down until I bang on the door panel. It acts like a broken wire shorting out. Is...

this problem is caused by a defective motor, the motor's brushes are sticking, so banging on the door jars them loose and it works again, this is a classic symptom of a defective window lift motor.

Window went down on drivers side, the motor still works but something seems detached, what should i do?

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Pull back the weather seal and you can readjust the window mechanics.

1999 Dodge Durango driver side window does not roll up nor down.

Remove the door panel and find the window motor Unplug it and using a separate car battery run cables directly to the window motor When you switch the polarity the motor will either bring the window up or down or if noting happened change the window motor and window regulator assembly.
