Question about 1995 Nissan Maxima
Check the fluid level in your brake fluid reservoir. A sensor in the reservoir indicates when the fluid level is low. The reservoir on most cars is just in front of the driver on the back wall (firewall) of the engine compartment. Look in your owners manual for more information. Another possibility is that your parking brake is not fully disengaged or the switch that indicates that it is disengaged is not operating properly.
