Replace Speedometer lights in 1969 Honda ct90 K-1

K1's are noted to have problems with the colored lenses falling off with age. The speed-o is not meant to be taken apart to fix this. To get these lenses back in place is a toothpick, glue and a lots of patience.

Now if it's the bulbs that need replacing that's much easier. Take head light out and slip rubber boots off each individual light and pull them out of the little tin tubes. TS

Blown head gasket

Well it would really depend on the condition of your engine.
It would take more labor to repair your engine than it would to just replace it. But unless the engine is very damaged it should be cheaper to have your engine fixed. And replacing the head gasket and having the head repaired should be under the price you were given. A head gasket set for a 4 cyl engine is around $100 wholesale.
I would call around and check with other shops next.

Do i need to have my 2004 dodge intrepid anti theft code reset through a dealership if the heads and head gaskets were replaced? the entire top of the engine ws taken apart adn put abcl together.

i would disconnect the battery. removing both the positive and negative battery terminals. with both ends disconnected, hold the two terminals together for about 10 seconds. this will proform a hard reset on most chrysler vehicles. also, if this doesnt work, try turning the key to the on position, and then proforming the hard reset procedure.

Your only fix is a new head gasket

I have no idea why you would have done
anything else but take it apart, to diagnose
what was need to resolve

Now you have all sorts of sealer in there, that
may come back to bite you some day

How do i replace bulbs on interment panel

you must take dash apart around steering column and then you should be able to pull out and unplug the gauge cluster and then unscrew back panel and you will see the little bulbs. be careful when you are taking dash apart many times they will be held together with torx bit head screws and clips sometimes + Philips head screws.

Check Engine Light P0302 Code

p0302 is a cylinder #2 misfire. when they swiched the coils did the misfire follow the coil or did it stay on cyl.#2. if the problem stayed with #2 they need to pull the cylinder head and check the valves with known good valves. have them install it into the cylinder head with valve lapping compound and run a pattern. if the cylinder head comes out with a good pattern replace the valves with the new pieces and reassemble the motor. if not the vehicle will need a new cylinder head

Instrument cluster lamp replacements

I had same problem. I bought a used HVAC control head and fixed it that way.
(Prior to doing so, I removed my original control head, took it apart, and looked for bulbs to replace -- but couldn't find any. I think LEDs are used instead of bulbs, as I recall. The problem, I figured, was with one of the electronic components on the little circuit board in the back of the control head, because LEDs usually will not burn out like an incandescent bulb eventually will.)
Then, I had to send the used one back for another, because the used one (from a junk yard) did not light up either. This was done for free, however, and I finally got one that worked. Then I used the buttons from my original unit because they looked cleaner than the ones on the replacement unit. The final result was satisfactory. The HVAC control head does light up at night, dims properly with the cluster dimmer, and controls the HVAC as it should.
Where to get it from a junk yard? Sorry, I can't find my notes on the website but I did a Google search on used auto parts. It was a company that had access to "junk yards" across several midwest states and maybe nationwide.

I have a turn signal switch problem

To: Skip 8303

The arm to the turn signal switch is loose in the colum the arm is still there but you really have to fight with it to make it work. And the control for the high and low beam for the head lights are controled by the same switch but beeing that they are controled by the same switch I can not switch from high to low beam.
