It should be replaced when you get to 60,000 miles.

SOURCE: has a 2004-2006 honda accord 2.2 diesel, timing belt or chain?

Timing chains are overall more reliable, and never require replacement. Timing belts on the other hand run much quieter and are easily replaced.
Timing belts should be replaced every 60-90 thousand miles depending on driving conditions and climate.

Major caveat to joserivera34's answer: For "B4" it depends on if the car has a belt or chain. The Accord V4 has a chain and therefore there is no timing belt replacement. The V6 has a belt.

When should my honda accord 2006 timing belt be changed

the manual calls for replacement every 105,000 miles, it is preferred that it be done at 100,000 miles (gives a safe margin), if it breaks/fails u can damage the engine.

Is it recommended to change the timing belt on a 2006 Honda Accord 4 door V6. And what would happen if the timing belt should break? lowellshoaf@gmail.com

yes it is recommended that you change your timing belt. Some engines have whats known as a contact motor. In other words if the timing belt breaks the pistons could hit the valves and damage them to the point that the heads would have to come off. This could cost a whole lot more than replacing the belt. Also if the timing belt drives the water pump you should have it replaced at the same time. Hope this helps. Please leave comment.

Has a 2004-2006 honda accord 2.2 diesel, timing belt or chain?

Belt is better replace either about every 100.000 or you'll destroy the engine when it goes out

Belt is Better because it's easier to replace, therefore much cheaper

Chain is inside and in the oil bath so harder= more expensive

By the way. dealer says replace every 60K . 100K is a MAXIMUM

Timing belt broke

I've heard that honda engines are made so that if your timing belt does brake theres enough room for them not to hit the valve cover, but hey i could be wrong only way to find out is to take off the valve cover and inspect
