Hello: There is no top bolt, remove the bottom bolt, pull back and up, Slide the top off the long shaft then remove the two bolts to remove the fixture that holds the caliper and pads If installing new pads you will have to get special tool (from advance auto parts, auto zone. napa) to screw the caliper piston back into the caliper, make sure the outer piston seal goes back in place with no rubber sticking out. Go in the clock wise direction to screw piston in. Hope this helps you.

Where can i find rear caliper carrier mounting bolts for peugeot 407

On the back side of the brakes, will be 2 bolts attached to steering knuckle. You have 2 ways to remove it. You can take the 2 bolts that hold the caliper onto the caliper mounting bracket, usually a rubber boot on them, then remove the caliper. At that point, you'll have easier access to the 2 remaining bolts that screw into the knuckle. The other option is just remove the whole assembly, remove the 2 bolts in the mounting bracket to remove the whole thing.

How do I remove front brake caliper on 1996 mazda 626

if you are just changing the pads there are 2 bolts that split the caliper in halve and allow you to change the pads thres two bolts are located top and bottom on the backside of the caliper and require an allen wrench for removal to remove the whole caliper there are 2 bolts on the back side closer to the center top and bottom that require a 17mm socket remove these 2 bolts clamp off the flex brake hose with a clamp and remove from caliper and work up and down until caliper comes away from disc

Rear brake caliper removal

I just did the rear caliper on my '95 Deville Concours and found that the caliper would not rotate enough to slide it off the top bolt. My solution was to remove the parking brake cable bracket bolt behind the caliper. This gave me the ability to rotate the caliper enough to get the caliper off of the brake pads and slide the caliper towards the inside of the car.

Rear brake pads on 1996 nissan 300zx

It should just be the caliper mounting bolts that bolt the caliper to the hub assembly. If I remember correctly, they're 17mm. There are two of them, and if you feel the caliper, and run your hand down behind the back side of it, you should find one bolt near the top of the caliper body on the hub, and one down below. Once they're removed, the caliper will come off (you may have to wedge a large screwdriver between the top of the caliper and the rotor and lever it off, but it'll come off).
