Question about 2001 Volkswagen Beetle

1 Answer

I have a 2001 Beetle Turbo with 105,000. I have repaired everything that has gone wrong with it, but can't decide it I need to get rid of it. I have heard the Turbos have not been good. The check engine light goes on and off on a regular basis, and I'm afraid of driving it out of town..What is the overall report on this car?

If you're afraid to drive it... you've answered your own question. Find something you're comfortable with rather than holding on to one you're not.

I'd check with Shokan (www.shokan.com) - they're an Audi salvage yard in upstate NY, near Woodstock. Your car shares engines with several of the A4 and possibly TT cars, and Shokan can probably supply the engine you need.
