Generally when you hear that noise it's time to replace the brake pads on the front. both sides tho you don't just replace one side.

My car makes a humming noise when excellerating and is especcially noisey when turning steering wheel to the left. there is also a continous squeak. my husband put WD40 on the bolt on power steering box...

If WD-40 got on belt, and squeak went away for a while, it may just need a new belt. The humming noise sounds like a worn wheel bearing that should be checked and replaced if needed. If squeak goes away when you push slightly on brake pedal, it may be rotor on same side as wheel bearing making the noise due to slight shifting of rotor because of worn bearing. You can try swapping tires on front from one side to other to confirm it isn't tire problem as well. If noise shifts to other side, then it's a tire.

I have a squeak in frot end only when braking

Dear Squeaky......if this noise ONLY persists upon the action of braking......then might I suggest a annual brake check? Is it more of a high-pitched squeal? Should be.....Pretty much any automotive shop out there....less dealers....will give your vehicle a free brake inspection....expect to pay a repair bill of about $130 for front brakes.....and a little less for rears.Unless of course you would like to get a little grease under them there nails of yours......but....then they can't call ya squeaky...can they? Youcan do brakes yourself for about half the price.......and have the pride of knowing what you can do.....get back to me if you need any assistance . HOPE I COULD HELP!!!!

I am hearing a clicking noise from the front end, driver side, of my 03 Wrangler. The faster I drive, the faster the click. It also squeaks a little when I first start driving, then the squeak stops. Click...

Get the cv joint checked. It sounds like that is the problem.I would also look at the brakes. If the sound is worst when you turn right,it may be the cv.This is on a left hand drive vehicle.I hope this helps

Left Front Noise.

It is more than likely in the hub bearing assembly. The easiest way to check it is to jack up that side of the vehicle and grab the wheel on the top and bottom and see if it moves back and forth with some slack. Should not have any slack.

Front brakes make noise when applied after installing new pads.

it could be because they are dirty. also the noise could be the back brakes. if its a squeaking noise it could be that they are dirty or that they are cheep brake pads and for the first couple of weeks they squeak. also when you got your breaks changed did the break shop cut the rotors because that cleans them up and makes the rotors like new.

03 Trailblazer Front End Noise/Vibration

I had similar problem with my 03 trailblazer. It had a low dull hum in the front end with a little vibration being felt in gas pedal. Noise increased over a couple weeks and was louder turning to the left and quiter turning to right. A GM mechanic friend of mine replaced the front right hub and took care of the problem. Hub was about $160 at Autozone.

Squeak in left front end

i would still bet youre dealing with worn brake pads, theres an off chance it has a bearing issue but brakes are first thought. maybe has caused them to wear down quicker ie. holding caliper, restricted flex hose, or even economy parts from previous repair.
