If one of those fuses is for the Brake lights, then check under the dash by the brake pedal. There should be a switch the operates the Interlock. If you have not checked the Brake fuse, then do that.
There are a couple of connectors on the Master Cylinder, try unplugging and reconnecting them if the first 2 ideas do not work. Would appreciate a response so I can catalog the cure.
Testimonial: "ok, I am not sure if I should still install the new switch, but I was able to move this one around on the brake pedal and it immediately worked. "
thanks, I will go back up there in a few and try this. I am thinking I may need to go ahead and buy the stop lamp switch and the shift interlock thing. The fuses are so confusing the way they are coded. I checked the one for back up lamp and daytime running lamps which also has the brake shift interlock solenoid on it. I am going to go back up and try to release it with the button under the steering column to at least get it home.
Also meant to say that my daughter said that the brake lights come on when depressed.
After moving that switch around on the brake pedal it works just fine. I have one ordered that should be here by noon. I ordered it before I did this. Would you suggest going ahead and replacing it?
