What is the cause ? freelander 2004 v6 2.5 , sudenly stall and have only idle now ,any trotle action do only stall ,start and run idle but no oder rpm available ? thank

disconnect your MAF sensor and turn it on and see if it runs with out stalling. if it does, replace your MAF sensor, do not run your vehicle without it.

I read that you know about the Ford Five Hundred CVT. When climbing an incline or pressing the Set + on for the Cr Cnt, the engine revs up to 4000 rpms but the speed does not increase and the engine stays...

my mom has a freestyle with the same motor and transmission. hers will do that too at certain speeds. at 45 the cruise works fine but at 60 it wants to rev up and stay there. im not completely sure if this is really a problem or if the cvt just naturally does this. hope this helps you

When i start my toyota corolla small body in the morning, the idling goes up to 2000rpm, why is that so?

It is quite common for most cars to have an increased rev range when a engine is started from cold, as the temperature increases the revs will drop down.
Depending on the age of the car has a lot to do with it also, as older cars used an auto choke system until a warmer temperature was attained.
More modern cars don't neccessarily need extreme higher revs, but still operate with a thermostatic controller, that regulates the fuel flow via the fuel injection system.
before you do anything, consider
1/ You have to know also what rev range does the car operate at when its been running for a while, eg when its warm and idling does it rev at 600,800,1000.
2/ Make sure you don't have your air conditioner on when starting, as this increases revs also.
3/ How long is the increased revs lasting.
4/ Is this car a carburated model or fuel injection
5/ have a visual and check that there are no small vacuum pipes that have come off anywhere around the intake area of the motor. (Intake area can be found where you accelorator cable ends up.
6/ failing that when your car goes for its next service, bring this problem to the mechanics attention.
it can be difficult to diagnose problems like these unless your looking at the engine.

I hope this has helped somewhat

I hope this

Rev counter falling below 1000rpm when warm, nearly stalling

If this is a 1.8 petrol model then the idling adjuster/throttle stop screw needs to be adjusted.Slight adjustment can be done without a diagnostic tool ,loosen the lock nut holding the throttle screw found near the throttle cable, adjust this in clockwise to increase revs.

Landrover Freelander Serengeti Diesel 2.0 2003

Sounds like the wheel balance is out on the new tyres, if the rears are out of balance expect the car to shake, if the fronts are out expect the steering to shake.
Best thing is to take it back and have the balance checked. Also good idea to stay with the same make and type of tyres all round.
