I have 101,000 miles on my Trailblazer and the last time I had an oil change they wanted to put in synthetic oil......nothing in the owners manual about doing this......should I change or keep using the...

its mostly personal preferance.. your trailblazer doesnt call for synthetic so if you dont want to spend the extra cash i would just get a decent brand 5w30 or 10w30

I have 72k on my Explorer. Which synthetic oil should I use.... full or a blend? Which brand is better and I change it myself. Is valvoline ok....

valvoline is fine,I would go with a blend because full synthetic really want have any benefits for you since you haven't used it from the beginning.I would go with a 10-30 blend then switch to heavier weight the more miles you have, make sure you change every 3,000 or 3months or more often in city traffic.

Does a 100% synthetic oil harm or help maintain my 1999 ford explorer with 150k miles on it.what weight and brand of synthetic oil should be used?

Brand makes no difference
Weight, should only be what your vehicle calls for---that should be on the oil filler cap
Nothing wrong with synthetic oils---wouldn't spend the money now, with 150K

I want to know when to do the serving of my Toyota Camry 1998. When to change the oil

Most import vehicle manufactures recommend changing oil at 5-7 thousand miles. When you have a wide range of temp as in the Northern United States, you need to have the oil changed 3-5 thousand miles. The reason is that the oil collects condensation after it has been up to operating temps, and shut off. There is some test that are being checked as to if the hot and humid temps have the same effect as in the winter months. I believe, it should be changed every 3 months and 3 thousand miles, which ever occurs first. I have used Synthetic oil in all of my vehicles, both cars and SUV's and change them at 5,000 miles. One of my Explorer's has passed 500,000 miles and the other one has 268,000. My cars also have Syn oil, is over 232,000 and no Mechanical problems in any of them. I hope this helps you with your question. Craig

What motor oil weight should I be using on my 96 olds 88....we live where the winter temps can go as low as -10 F and as hot as 95F in the summer

5w 30 or 10w 30 during the winter. After an oil change... check your oil after 200-300 miles of use. Is the level the same? If so your weight is fine. If it drops, it's to light of an oil and your engine is now "drinking it" like fuel, move to a heavier weight. As far as Changing between winter and summer. Changing Oil weights is not bad for your motor so if the winter you go with 5w 30 and it works, great, shoot for the same during the summer. If it seems to "drink it" during the summer using this weight, go up to the next (10w 30)

That being said. Changing from natural oil, to synthetic, back to naturual , or vice versa... swapping back and forth between these KINDS of oil has been known to cause damage. so whatever weight you decide on, stick with one "type", natural or synthetic.

How often should the oil be changed on a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Track?

3000 miles on any car is reccomended, even synthetic only oil i woould only go 4000 becasue the oil picks up dirt and then clogs the oil filter

It depends on what kind of oil are you use.Better quality oil lasts longer(5000 miles). If you drive on cheap oil you better change it earlier (3000 miles).

Weight oil?

I'd use 5 w 30 in cold or cool weather, then switch to 10 w 30 or, 10 w 40, when it gets hotter.
