Your timing belt should not be loose something is wrong,belt broke or jumped time.

could be timing belt but could also be a problem with the starter. a bad seal on the starter, loose wire on the starter solenoid. if the car is still cranking then the problem is most likely the timing. timing belt should be replaced every 60,000 miles

Tiburon timing belt broke, replaced, won't start


Did you make sure you set cam & crank timing ? If the belt is off one tooth it will cause this. Recheck belt timing first.

I think it is i will probably have to pull the timing belt, it sounds like it probably skipped due to the serpentine belt cords wrapped around something under the timing belt cover, any other suggestions on alternate causes before I start pulling the brand new timing belt?12
