Re: cant get in to trunck
The only thing than i will recomend is to go to a chinese tool store or like harbor freight tool or any ship tool store and get the shims tool to try to open the door, specially if your car is on the street or drive way, more than one may stop to help when they see you trying to use this tool
i hope and this help

It is best to call a locksmith, unless you know how to take apart the ignition tumbler and put the assemly locks in the correct order. It sounds like the key tumbler hold in broke and all the tumblers are loose and causing the key to be stuck. If you want to hurry the job for the locksmith and save money, buy the key tumbler assembly for your vehicle for the locksmith to install. Otherwise he will have to make the trip to buy the assembly, which in turn costs you more money. Mechanic shops can replace key tumblers too but when it is stuck in the column, it takes a lot of effort to remove if they are unskilled.
If battery is totally dead and you cant get in with the key. I would call out a lock out service and un lock the door. Then pop the hood and replace battery. Cause no alarm system would work with a battery that dead I would imagine.
The tumblers may have collapsed. In which case you would have to replace the switch. They can be replaced if you can get the key in.. If you get a replacement you can try forcing it, if it locks up you will have to drill it out to get it replaced.
get a spare key to open the trunk, or if there is a button for opening the trunk, push it. Sometimes this won't work, though, because some buttons in Cadillacs only work with the ignition on or 15 min. after the ignition was turned off and the doors are not opened.
I found out that it will disable the switch to open the trunk that is
located inside the vehicle. To make the vehicle secure while you leave
the ignition key with a parking attendant. etc.
In case you have something valueable you want to leave in car, you can lock
the inside release and your keyless entry will not work just make sure
you have a key to get in truck once you switch the switch in trunck to on.
