Heater control valve location 2000 Durango

In the 2000 Ford F150, you'll find the heater control valve by looking right above the battery. You'll find a little black hose leading to it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why won't my 2000 cougar idol

Cougars have IACV valves (idle air bypass control valves) through with engine gets idle air. Its a valve and opens and closes by a solenoid. Most of the time due to excess carbon it remains stuck closed. or may be faulty. And it wont allow air for idling. Throttle body will be completely closed when you take foot off accelerator, so no air and no idling. Check the image at the bottom to locate IACV valve. You can undo that valve and clean it with WD-40. You can feel the solenoid clicking when you keep your finger on it while starting the car or when you take foot off the accelerater. Other possibilities could be the vacuum hoses. Check and see all plastic vacuum hoses are hooked up and not broken. Checking vacuum hoses resolves most of the issues on cougars.

Where is the HVAC box located on a 2000 GMC Sierra 4X4. I beleive the mixing door is not working correctly, I'm only getting warm air not hot. All ready changed thermostat and checked hoses.

Check in the one heater hose will be a control valve. Check the operation of the valve(this is the heater control valve). If the lever on it appears to be moving. Take the valve out and manually check that the valve is opening and closing the whole way. If not replace the valve and recheck. If it is the heater core may be clogged not allowing the hot coolant to flow thru so you can get heat.

I'd concentrate on idle air control valve. IAC valve. They control engine idle speed.

Bought the part ,where does egr valve go for 2000 mercuty cougar

The egr valve is located on the intake manifold- next to the throttle cable. Has one wire coming out of the center.
Good luck and make sure you have the gasket for it.
