Hello,i got an golf 98',i repair some leaks in a/c and install a a/c compresor and i charge the exactly amount of refrigerant,but the a/c sometimes i put on do not start but the light of the button...


The compressor "clutch" and coolant/condenser fan(s) for this vehicle are controlled by the coolant Fan Controls Module...it is located in the engine compartment, left-side, behind battery and below coolant expansion tank; black housing.

your rotation sensor inside the compresor is at fault, most possible cause.
did not specify any pressure readings.

Hello, I am a tec. from Puerto Rico your problem does sound like the magnetic clutch. It is located directly on the compresor, over here we change them for around $150 including materials and work.

maybe is the air compresor and that's the noise that you hearing. Put the air in off if the noise stop, your problem is the compresor.

AC dask board signal


Replace the A/C compressor revolution sensor, bolted to the side of the compressor, unless the connector was inadvertantly left unconnected. This is the only reason the AC light will blink.
