SOURCE: trouble filling gas tank of Toyota Camry, 1999

Was this car in an accident and if so perhaps the filler tube was bent in the process.inspect or have a reputable shop inspect for any damage to tube or surrounding areas. Perhaps there might be a forien object that got lodged in the filler tube.

SOURCE: brake line leaking

Hi,

I had this same issue. This location you mentioned is prone to the accumulation or road grit/sand and water and leads to rust through of the two brake lines. I determined it was best to take a tubing cutter and remove the bad sections and just replace them with new brake lines. (splice in) You'll need a steel tubing flare kit, two brake lines ( i picked em up at the parts store) two 36" and and four inverted flare adapters. The parts guys will assist you well, let them know what you are doing. Should go pretty good for you if you have any contortionist blood in ya! Naw, it's just a bit tricky to flare the tube while up in there.

SOURCE: fuel leaking from top of gas tank

sounds like return fuel line from engine has a leak at tank.look for smaller of to metal lines in front of tank and trace hose to top of tank fairly easy to replace.

Where to find the fuel filter on a 1995 toyata camry

On 1995 Toyota Camry 3.0L EFI DOHC 6cyl the Fuel Filter is located under hood, driver side, front side of strut tower, mounted on fenderwell in fuel line.

Hope helps. Just keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment. Have a nice weekend and thanks for using FixYa.

New rotors and calibers, with pads replaced and now every three to four days must add brake fluid and brakes work fine no sponge feeling.

Check for leaks around brake calipers or cylinders, check for leaks around brake master cylinder, may be leaking from master cylinder into brake booster, remove vacume line from booster and see if you can detect oil inside, if your adding oil to brakes every three to four days a leak should be easy to find.

I have a broken brake line above my gas tank and I can not find a diagram to show me if the line runs straight across the tank or if there are other connecting lines above the gas tank that I can not see....

Look at the differential housing and you'll find a "T" with a flexible line going to that broken line above the tank. Cut and connect another a replacement line from front of tank around to the "T" and then bleed the rear brakes. The single line feeds both rear brakes from that "T" and there are no other lines connected to it. Done this way will keep you from having to drop the fuel tank to get to the line to replace it.

Gas leak right in by the rear passenger door on driver side.

Generally easier to work there if you lower the tank. Sometimes you don't need to remove it entirely. Run the tank low before working there so if you do need to remove it it will be easier to work with (gas weighs over 7lbs per gallon!)

no you can cut and reroute the line ive done it in the past many times. just remember more line means more fluid so after you bleed it check the level again after a week or so.

Brake line behind fuel tank leaking

If the line leaking is plastic then it's not a brake line it's a fuel line. If the truck runs then it is most likely the return fuel line. If you can't get to it without dropping the tank then that's what you'll have to do, but you shouldn't need to remove it completely.
It is best to siphon out as much gas as possible. Before you removing the bolts take 2 pcs. of smooth fence wire or even 12ga. copper wire and make a cradle to support the tank, cut the wire at least 2 ft. longer than what it will take to go from the frame to the drive-shaft.
At a point about 1/3 in from each end of the tank lupe one end of the wire through holes in the frame and twist it a couple of times, then run it under the tank and around the drive shaft and twisting the ends a couple of turns.
After you get all the bolts out of the tank supports if you don't have room to repair the line you can loosen the wires around the drive-shaft and allow the tank to drop down some[this is why you need the wires 2 ft. longer]
After the repairs which will probably be replacing the rubber fuel hose that attaches the line to the tank,[I'd replace both of them] tighten the wires around the drive-shaft and replace the tank bolts. Remember to get all your bolts started before you tighten any,

Check the vacuum line from the brake booster to the intake for leaks or missing/ loose clamps. If it's all intact, look around the booster (big bowl looking thing on the firewall) for leaking brake fluid. If the booster is leaking, it will have to be replaced.
