You may already know this, but try checking your distributor cap, your spark plugs, and your point system, if those do not work, then try checking your alternator. If you had to charge your battery more than once, your alternator may not be charging you battery. Another solution would be your fuel system. If you have not changed your fuel filet or system in some time, it may be sending "sludge" though, which could make your engine misfire or hesitate.
