Question about Toyota Camry

2 Answers

I took my Camry in for 40,000 service about a month ago. Since then I have not attempted to turn on the radio. Yesterday I wanted to listen to it and it would not turn on. I assume it is a computer problem with the radio. Is there anyway I can fix it without a trip to the dealer????

This is a security feature that discourages radio theft, but you have to reenter a code when the battery has been unhooked. You should have a code somewhere in your paperwork you got with the car. Otherwise call your dealer for the code and how to enter it.

Is there power getting to the radio, so that you can see some data on the front?
If not, then it could be a fuse blew.
If so, then the radio could have a theft protection system, and they may have taken a battery terminal off for cleaning or testing. In which case you need to enter the code written in the manual. If you don't have the code, then a dealer for that brand of radio will have to reset it.

How do you check 2012 camry transmission fluid level

I have a 2012 Toyota Camry. The gearbox is a sealed until. Recently I have investigated about getting it serviced, Mine has just come out of warranty, Toyota dealer is asking $442.00 for service, after speaking with a number of transmission specialists they recommend 40,000 service intervals. Costing approximately $330.00 just ensure your transmission service technician is using the Toyota recommended oil which is "WS"
World standard and nothing different.

At 40,000 miles there is a "Required Service"

Hi.

The light means that the maintenance interval is over and that service is required. The procedure to turns off the light is reported on the owners manual but you are strongly advised to do service at intervals prescribed by manufacturer. Service will consist in oil change, fluids change, filters and general inspection.

Here the general procedure to reset service light.

1. Turn the ignition key to the 'OFF' position with the trip meter A reading shown.

2. Turn the ignition key to the 'ON' position while holding down the trip meter 'RESET' button.

Hold down the knob for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates '000000' and the light goes off.

Perform service as soon as possible.

Regards.
