Open the glove box, pull out the manual, look in index under lights or lightbulbs, find the bulb type and go get a new one at Walmart or a parts store and put it in. At Advance or Autozone I think they will put it in for you. Watch them closely and you will know how to do it next time.

What will cause the dome light not to come on

Probably a blown bulb or popped fuse. Sometimes the back of the dome light can ground against the underside of the roof, popping the fuse. Start by replacing the bulb.

Why do the dome lights not turn off?

There is a switch located on the door jam probably is sticking try a little lube like wd40 if that dont work replace the switch. If all else fails take the bulb out untill you can get the problem fixed.

I have a ford 6600 tractor not exactly sure of the year probably around 1977-1980. the 3 point lift arms wont lift worked fine then sat for a year when the clutch went out fixed that and now the lift arms...

Remove the key from the ignition. Make sure the doors are closed, so the new bulb does not illuminate when you are installing it.

Make sure the dome lighting switch is turned to the "Off" position. Pry the plastic lens away from the dome light. Use a small, flat-head screwdriver.

Push back the side bulb clamp. Pull out the old dome lightbulb. Wipe the area with a paper towel if it is dirty.

Wrap the new bulb in a paper towel. Insert it into the dome lightbulb holder. Push it up gently to secure it.

Turn the switch to "On" to test the bulb. Reposition the cover and push up to lock the clips into place.

Cargo light doesn't work

They are part of the dome light circuit, so if the bulbs are ok you'll have to check the wiring fuse and switch.

My dome light stopped working. I think the bulb may be burned out. How do I replace it?

the dome light cover just pops off by prying with a screwdriver..this will expose the bulb and you can probably figure it out from there... sometimes the bulbs unscrew out and sometimes they pop out also

How to replace interior dome light bulb?

1) Remove the key from the ignition. Make sure the doors are closed, so the new bulb does not illuminate when you are installing it.

2) Make sure the dome light switch is turned to the "Off" position. Pry the plastic lens away from the dome light. Use a small, flat-head screwdriver.

3) Push back the side bulb clamp. Pull out the old dome lightbulb. Wipe the area with a paper towel if it is dirty.

4) Wrap the new bulb in a paper towel (oil from your skin will shorten its life). Insert it into the dome lightbulb holder. Push it up gently to secure it.

5) Turn the switch to "On" to test the bulb. Reposition the cover and push up to lock the clips into place.

If the bulb doesn't work, you've got a bad switch somewhere, probably on the drivers door.

Inside light does not come on when doors is open

Do you have actual door lights???? Is the dome light not working? If its just the dome light not working, its probably the bulb...If none of the lights are working, Its the fuse....usually a 10 or 15 amp fuse.

Dome lights won't work or power mirrors

Ford's are notorious for electrical 'ghosts'.
If the fuses are all fine.. and the motors for the windows and the light bulb for the dome light are good... probably not much that can be done unless you want to give it to the dealer for diagnosis and repair, but they'll probably tell you they can't find the problem.
