Yes you can. Getting the right size may be difficult but then again it may be as simple as getting a belt for the same make/model without airconditioning.

Airconditioning problem

Look to see if there is a hose extending down beneath the vehicle coming from inside the passenger compartment. Chances are that hose is clogged from leaf debris and causing a leak inside of the passenger campartment. This can also happen if that hose does not get directed out the drain hole, or if it got pinched off.

I have a 1986 230e mercedes. the previous owner has damaged the aircondition electrical system and tried a partial rewiring but is useless. so i need a detailed wiring diagram for the aircondition system....

To get a detailed electrical diagram, you won't find it free on the fixya.com website.

One would have to go to a place called alldata.com to find it, but will have to pay for the information.

Given the age of the vehicle, I would definitely have the in-line filter changed. As per your increase in the temp, you could have a bad thermostat and it could be stuck wide open or worse, could be frozen closed. I would also have the temperature sensor for the radiator replaced. It could be causing your issue. If you've had the A\C recharged recently, you could have a stopped up condenser\evaporator.

Bottom line is your vehicle is 17 years old and I would suspect a bad sensor before trying to put a whole bunch of money into it. This would mean you would have to either have it serviced or, if you are able to do the work yourself, buy the part and replace it.

Hope this helps

Mercedes 2001 E210 320CDI, goes often in to Limp mode, my feeling says is has to do with the automatic gear box not shifting very smooth, so i often has to use the tip to shift.

The automatic transmissions on these vehicles are not durable and will definitely not last the life of the car. The E class is a nice car but the mechanical build quality is not of a high standard (it's just complex and expensive).

If the vehicle has clocked around 70000 miles or more you can expect auto transmission problems like you are experiencing now. The symptoms you describe are an indication that the transmission is on its way to total failure. The only fix is to fit a rebuilt transmission which will be very expensive.
( Take the vehicle to a transmission specialist that handles Mercedes auto transmissions and I am sure you will receive the same advice after a road test on the car is carried out).

I'm afraid that If you retain the car you can expect quite a few expensive maintenance and repair costs as the miles clock up.

Mercedes benz airconditioning

You might check the cooling fans on the condenser to see if they are running when the ac is on.If they are not check for blown fuse,or bad cooling fan relay.Do you notice if the ac cools better when running constantly, and the ac is not so cool when in traffic, stopping and going, and running slow?If so the cooling fan,or fans are not working. If the fan fuse and the relays check out fine, then replace the fan,or fans.If I can help any more please ask.roniecon@gmail.com

Never heard of aircondition filters on an automobile. There is an air filter that filters air going into air intake. It has no effect on the a/c.
