A 2006 Ford Should not need rebuild, unless it was run completely out of fluid. What are your symptoms? Is it a manual or automatic? Do you pull a heavy trailer? Did you Change the trans. filter at 60,000 miles? Mr. Transmission has them on the shelf, but very expensive.

A slipping tranmission

Changing fluids will not help a slipping transmission. Sometimes it makes it worse. You can try some additives like Lucas Transmission additive but most likely you are looking at a trip to the transmission shop. You almost always end up getting a full rebuild. Once they pull it out and check it the cost is only slightly higher to rebuild the entire transmission. Try a local shop with a good reputation over a national one and you might get a better deal. Make sure you ask about the warranty.

I have a 93 prelude s with an f23a1 swap and converted to obd1 also while it is running on a P12a00 ecu and it won't rev passed 5500 rpm I suppose it's in limp mode. But the car runs great otherwise and no...

limp mode restricts the engine to below 2000 rpm so it is not in limp mode. If it burns oil pretty fast more that 1 pint in 5000 miles then the motor needs a rebuild . ECU do not control the oil usage but will have difficulty keeping the engine tuned as the O2 sensors will be contaminated with soot from the oil . To change an engine model then it is best to change all relevant ECU and sensors along with it so that the settings are maintained for that engine . To mix and try to match costs time and eventually money as you will have to take it to a speed shop and have the ECM properly mapped

My 2002 jeep tranmission over temp comes on and off while on my way from work just had a oil change about 1 month ago and had tranmission flush in september what dose this mean

Having once owned a trans repair shop,
I would prefer you not flush the system

Due to the vehicles age ,and not knowing
if the fluid was changed every 30,000 miles

My Past Professional Opinion tells me your
trans is most likely slipping. ,thus over heating

You could check the fluid level but that won't do

Your most likely are close to a rebuild situation

Figure about $1700.00
