My 05 Mazda Tribute blows cold air when idleing, I have flushed the radiator, flushed the heater core and, replaced the thermostat. Don't know what else to do.

the switching switch for your heater hose is bad its a valve hooked into the hose near the fire wall of car replace it

Sounds like you may need a whole new heater core if the tube that comes out of the firewall is busted off. If it is just cracked,try repairing it with a bit of J.B. Weld.

Why wont the heat work on 1991 roadmaster wagon. thermostat good, water pump good, blower motor works. maybe a vacuum problem? or something with the heater core... how do i fix it?

check youre heater hoses coming out of the engine .make sure they both are the same temp ,when the engine is warm going in to the heater core the hoses run up to the fire wall if the hoses are hot on both sides the problem is inside the car make sure the cable is moving form cold to hot if the cable is un hooked you will not have control over the temp .the cable runs under the glove box on the top of the heater box ,there is a small arm that moves back and forth ,the cable hooks up to a little clip make sure this is still attached if it is check youre controler on the dashboard the only way it would be a vaccume problem .is if the defrosters and heater and vents are not working .if this is the problem check for a disconnected vaccume line near the fire wall .or distrubitor

I cant afford to fix heater core at this time so how do i identify hoses to bypass
Here is a link for you if you want to replace the heater core your self with common tools. As for the heater hose, you should see two small radiator hose going to the fire wall. You can disconnect the hose from the fire wall and connect them together, this will by pass the heater core till you replace the bad core. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to know your expedition is running 100% again.

How do you bypass the heater core on a 1989 Chev. Camaro 5.0

take the inlet hose to the heater core and connect it with the outlet hose on the heater core, thus creating a by-pass. you may be able to follow the hoses back to the aterpump and engine block and make a shorter run of it.

My 96 grand Am leaking bad

those are 2 hoses an inlet and outlet for your heater.take a look inside the car at the carpet and see if there is anti freeze.the heater core can leak,and then run down the hose,but you may be lucky and just the hose is no good.they are quite stiff to take off,you have to twist them as well as pull.go slowly,damage to the heater core can result otherwise.the heater core is mounted on the firewall and the entire dash must be removed to replace it.if you do cahnge it,make sure there is a ground strap added from the heater pipes to prevents electrolysis from the dissimilar metals.

I need to know where the hoses go from the heater core?

Have had the same problem with a Corsica.The reason they bypassed the heater core is that it had a hole in it.Reccomend filling with water prior to hooking up hoses.
