Hi, first of all make sure all of the hose clamps are tighten, check for cracks in the pastic parts of the radiator, start the vehicle and use a flash light and a mirror to look where the leak comes from, be careful with the fans, they start suddenly, keep yourself and clothing away from cooling fans...

You have leak, it might not be visible at first, all a mechanic, there is also a numerous leak stoppers available for the coolant system, but that alone is a temporary fix

I have a 2011 Chevrolet impala and my coolant in the reservoir is evaporating within a months time of being filled. What could be the problem? Water pump?

Start with a "professional" coolant system flush. Sounds like there's a blockage somewhere. If you're putting coolant in the resevoir and not directly in the radiator, and it's disapearing, check the radiator. If radiator is full it's a blockage, if it's low/empty there's a leak.

What might the issue be with my 2002 dodge caravan overheating?

Hi, No you did not break anything. It just happened by coinsident.
You need to replace the thermostat and put new fluid in. Not just water. If it happens again do a radiator flush and check if fan is working properly. Good luck.

In 2005 chevy impala the heater only gets warm sometimes. Other times it blows cold air. I put fresh antifreeze in. And there is no water on the floor of the car

The adding adding coolant means you have a leak somewhere, and low coolant level will cause this. How often do you check the fluid levels? Check for leaking hoses, weak radiator or expansion tank cap, leak at the water pump, and leaks around the radiator.

Probably the water pump. You should see coolant coming from the vent hole on the pump--usually on the bottom.

I have a 98 dodge stratus v6 .. it began overheating and leaking coolant the coolant is leaking somewhere near the water pump.. I have alsonfound some kind of belt / WIRE NEAR THE WATERPUMP that snapp

The leak probably is the water pump.
You won't have heat if the radiator is low on coolant.
Get it checked out as soon as possible. The water pump is driven by the timing belt.

Having to keep putting water in car and the temperature gauge goes up and then its starts to run hot what could it be

Hey, first. the ideal coolant mixture is 50% coolant and 50% distilled water. So just adding water is not the best thing.

Second, if you have to keep adding coolant or water to your radiator, you likely have a leak. You can go to the Auto Parts Store and get some Radiator Stop Leak and pour it in there and see if that helps. You may just have a small hole somewhere.

You could also take it to a shop and tell them to check for a leak in the radiator.

Chevy S10 overheated, now heat doesn't work, leaking coolant

When an engine is overheating and then the temp drops on the guage, it's usually a sign that the coolant is not touching the temp sensor. There's no coolant in the engine. Putting water in the overflow tank won't solve this. Take the radiator cap off after the engine cools and put coolant in the radiator. you might have to crank the engine and do this several times, as the engine can develop air pockets that won't allow the coolant to travel inside the engine. If you don't see any leaks, and it still uses coolant, you've probably got a blown head gasket. Check for water on the plugs, check cylinder compression. If it slowly uses coolant, try putting a large box of pepper in the radiator or some of that radiator seal copper flakes.
