How can i fix the pump or the torque converter inside a automatic transmission with out removing it?

is there any oil in the transmission
unless you have a dipstick ( GMC products are normally sealed ) it is very possible that there is no oil in the transmission
the transmission oil pump is part of the transmission around an input shaft and requires the transmission removal for repair / replacement
take it to an accredited transmission service center and have it tested and properly diagnosed

How to change transmission lines

Get replacement line at parts store. Unscrew one end from radiator and other end from transmission. Use in-line wrench to tighten replacement line and be careful not to overtighten and strip the fitting. Run motor for a few minutes, when warm check the fluid level. 'DO NOT' overfill.

Can you use a high pressure hose as a replacement for a transmission cooling line

I suggest you use the proper transmission cooling line because the transmission fluid may not be compatible with the high pressure hose. You don't want this hose to fail in the middle of nowhere.

Antifreeze is spraying from right above the transmission pan...right where the two lines run from the radiator all the way to that area..

Hi, the leak is actually transmission fluid, and it sounds like the transmission cooler lines need replacement. You should not drive this, as transmission damage could occur. Good luck... Coop

Removing the transmission cooling line fron

These lines just run straight through the radiator to provide cooling. You can bypass the radiator by adding a transmission fluid cooler, during the cold weather in a pinch, a replacement transmission hose with 2 clamps can be connected between the 2 transmission lines to correct leakage, but in warm weather, the fluid suffers if it doesn't get the benefit of a cooler.

Aftermarket coolers are relatively inexpensive, especially compared to the long term benefit of keeping the fluid degrees cooler, prolonging the life of the trans.

good luck

Im leaking transmission fluid from what appears to

Make sure you don not run low on transmission fluid in your transmission. Low transmission fluid will cost you a new transmission. You have the transmission line that connects to the upper passenger side or the radiator and the lower passenger side of the radiator. Determine which line has gone bad and you can buy a rubber transmission line hose at most Auto Parts store like Parts Source. Cut off out the section with a pipe cutter that has corroded through and replace with the transmission hose. Make sure you tell them it's a transmission line hose your looking for and don't use any other hose and double clamp with a compression clamps at ether end. If it's the connection at the radiator that has gone bad, replace that end and do that same as you would to sectioning off the the corroded line and try not to have more then 3 inches of repaired section. What ever you do, do not add any stop leak, this will create problems with the shift solenoids and check valves in your valve body in the transmission causing a transmission replacement soon after adding. Good luck and keep me posted.
