Are you sure you didn't mix up the return and feed lines when changing the pump? I don't think fuel will reach the injectors if the two lines are hooked up wrong. Just a suggestion. Also, try removing the fuel line that comes out of the tank, going to the engine, to see if it is flowing fuel when the pump is running. Another thing is that the pump can be pumping fuel all day long but if the ecm doesn't open and close the injectors as it's supposed to, no fuel will flow into the cylinders.

The sock was replaced. I had another comment that the ecm might not be opening to allow fuel to the injectors. Is there a number of different volume pumps for this vehicle?

What cause fuel system to loose pressure new fuel pump installed also new filter & relay pump cranks 65 psi a run until pressure drops and quits, it might start, fuel pressure regulator ?

if it cranks at 65 psi the problem will not be in the regulator as the pump is producing enough fuel to exceed what the injectors need
What is happening is that the pump is not capable of delivering enough fuel to maintain that pressure when running so look for venting problems , hoses collapsing internally or blockage in the tank pick up

My GMC Sierra ran out of gas and now I can't get it to stay running.

Fuel injectors require a high pressure fuel pump which is located in the gas tank. The gas serves as the lubricant for the pump, so wen you ran out and emptied the tank completely you no longer had lubricant and the pump burn out. It won't pump gas now because it's the fuel pump is burned out and needs replacing. It runs when you put fuel in the injectors as that bypasses the pump. Replace the pump and the never let the tank get below 1/8th full (half a 1/4 of a tank). Not lie the old low pressure fuel pumps on the side of the engine blocks. Not cheap to buy a fuel pump and have to drop the tank to replace the burned out one. $$$ in costs even it you do it yourself.

My 1995 GMC jimmy isn't getting power to the fuel pump, I put in a new relay and thats not it , What do I do?

firstly remove the fuel pump from the tank and test it by connecting the leads from the pump to a 12 volt battery....if the pump turns on then test the wires running from the pump to the front of vehicle.....since you have replaced the relay then that is not the issue also some vehicles have two sets of fuse blocks instead of the standard one ......does the pump spin up at all when you turn your key to the first position without starting the engine? if it does then you need to test the fuel pressure getting to the intake....i replaced a pump recently that was only pushing 8psi to the engine instead of the needed 52-66psi new pump fixed the whole issue

What is causing my 1994 gmc jimmy to hessitate on

yep, but more than likely you need to replace your spark plugs and/or injectors.
go to the autowreckers and you can get a new fuel rail with used injectors or you can buy refurbished ones at napa or autozone that are cheaper than buying all new ones.

1994 silhouette oldsmobile van..Put new fuel filter and coil packs in it turns over but still wont start what else could be the problem?

If it will run on starter fluid your ignition is ok and you are not getting fuel. That could be the fuel pump- listen to gas tank(the pump is in the tank) when you turn ignition to on(not start)-you should hear it kick in then stop when it reaches the proper pressure-no sound bad fuel pump or blown fuse.If the pressure is incorrect or the pressure sensor is bad-it will not start. The Fuel injectors are controlled by a control module that is under the dash and runs $100.00- I just replaced one.

MOST LIKELY THE FUEL PUMP HAS FAILED, WHEN U TURN THE KEY TO RUN POSITION DO U HEAR A HUMMING NOISE FROM THE FUEL TANK? THIS NOISE WILL STOP IN ABOUT 5 SECONDS, U CAN HEAR IT BETTER BY TAKING OFF THE GAS CAP AND LISTENING THERE, IF U HEAR NOTHING THEN THE PUMP WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED.

Fuel pump not pumping

You can Hear fuel running? Where in the tank? If so then it sounds like the fuel pump dettached from the supply line inside the tank.

Hard start when cold/first start in morning

The pressure relief valve is in the spider fuel injector not the fuel pump. We have had our 94 gmc jimmy for 4 years & have had to replace the fuel injector 4 times which cost right at $500 each time for the part. Yes the spider fuel injector cost averages around $500.

Help w 1994 chevrolet truck

This injector set-up needs a specific fuel pressure supplied to the fuel rail to even start, much less run properly. The fuel pump is immersed in fuel inside the gas tank to keep it cool and not burn up. Running the fuel level low causes more heat in the pump and interuptions in proper fuel pressure. AC/Delco pumps have proven to be a reliable fix, the aftermarket pumps only last for a month or two sometimes. Check fuel pressure under the hood and power and ground to fuel pump at electrical harness at top of gas tank. This truck needs a fuel pump.
