Question about Pontiac Grand Am
Usually the problem is a relay under the dash on the passenger side. A lot of times you can whack the dash below the glove box and the relay will close and the fan will come on. The relay is about $25 and you can get at any parts supply. The rear defroster is just a heating element inside the glass. So it would work. Another possibility is the switch for the fan. But it is probably not the problem.
