Good Evening, this was a pretty common thing back in the early 90s with the ford explorers. What would normally happen is the porcelain would come out and so would the hex part of the plug and the threads and the such would stay in the head. A set of left handed easy outs to tap down in there should get it out. What we used to do was let them run (yes even with the plug out) to warm up the threads and the engine then go through and try to remove it. I hope this helps, and let me know how it goes.

You need a special tool purchased online or from a ford dealer. What you must do is break out the porcelan and then use this special tool to tap the plug and then thread in the puller to pull the plug tip out. Its a very precious procedure and must be done correct or the head will have to be removed.

Why wont my 2002 olds alero start when its cold out

One of the coil packs or the ignition module is probably bad. Test for spark when cold. If no spark on any coils suspect the ignition module or crank position sensor. If spark is gone on only one coil check the plugs and wires to that coil pack. If theplugs and wires are ok then replace thge coil pack. Don't forget the obvious load test the battery and clean the battery connections. If the check engine light is on run any diagnostic codes and repair

How do you remove the spark plug tubes to get at theplugs out,is their a special tool,it seems like something is holding them

There are special tools for this but usually not needed as the tube is usually only stuck on from heat and twisting while pulling will get it off.

Hi! sorry but i cant find the oil transmission

Unfortunatley, there is no transmission dipstick on the Discovery II's. There is a fill plug underneath on the front of the transmission pan. Pull that and let it come out to a small stream of fluid. Put theplug back in and go drive it. Use a infared laser thermometer to check the transmission pan temperature, needs to be around 190 degrees. Them pull the fill plug back off and top off the fluid level. Hope this helps.

Best of luck

1981 CJ7 cranks but wont start

You need fuel, air and a spark for your motor to run.First determine if you have a spark or fuel, this will half yourproblem,if there is no spark then its an ignition fault and if the plugs are not getting wet then its a fuel problem.Start from the plugs and work back keep me posted ok.Check for spark first just remove a plug and fit it on the lead hold the plus to earth[with an insulated pliers to prevent a shock]get a buddy to swing her over and observe for a spark at theplug contacts.
