Question about 1990 Chrysler LeBaron
I have a 1990 Chrysler Lebaron. Today my brother drove it around with the top down and when he went to put it back up, nothing happened. I assume it is the motor, but until I can get it to a dealership, is there a way to manually get the top up? If so, how?
The above answer is wrong in one detail, there is no arm to disconnect.
The top is raised and lowered by hydrolic pressure, the elec. motor only drives the pump in one direction or the other.
The top can be raised and lowered manually without disconnecting anything. Just remember that you are fighting against hydrolic pressure as you do this, so you just need to push or pull firmly and steadily until it is up or down.

You will have to find out where the motor is and disconnect the arm or mechanism on the motor and then you will be able to pull it up manually also just check the fuse for the top motor if you havent already hope that helps.
