I've had that same problem with my 2001 Ford Focus. I've bought the R-134A coolant and it will fix the problem for a couple days max, and then it's right back to the same problem. Any suggestions?

Open your hood and have somone in the car cycle the air and be looking at the compressor you should here an electric clutch kick in on the AC compressor you should also hear the engine RPM decrease and then increase if the clutch is engaging and still no cold air then you can go to any parts dealer or canadian tire depending on where your located and they have a kit with a hose to connect to your AC lines a leak sealer canisster and a refridgerant canisster provided your leak is not to big(like a rock peirsing your condensor) and you should be on your way to ice cold air this kit gives you all the stuff you will need aswell as directions hope this helps.

TROUBLE SHOOTING THE Air Condition system

Hi, when it comes to vehicle air conditioning I advise taking it to a
professional with the appropriate experience/qualification...I have heard instances of individuals being blinded by freon.
If your blower only works sometimes might be that the compressor has issues.

first feel the heater core hoses see if both are hot if so then your problem is in the blend air door must be stuck on cold. is your blower motor blowing cold air if not your blower motor might be the problem. the blend air door is down by the blower motor.

Sounds like your blower motor when out, check voltage at the blower motor connector under the dash passenger side under dash, with key and blower on, if you have voltage blower motor out, also tap on it some time it will turn it on, but if it happens again you will have to replace it.
