How do you replace the water sensor on a 1999

There are several. One sensor operates dash light. One tells the ECU engine temp. One tells when radiator is low. The two temp sensors are probably on the top of engine near the thermostat. Parts stores have component location charts that may help you.

I need a pictorial diagram for starter replacement on a 1999 pontiac sunfire w/ 2.2 liter engine

Common misdiagnosis on GM vehicles is to think the starter is broken when acually the antitheft system has turned it off. Check for a light on the dash that says SECURITY when the car wont start. If you see it, then this is your problem, not the starter. Here is a link on the subject, and possible solutions.

Need to replace water pump on 1999 pont sunfire 2.4 liter engine are there any special tools required

No, just basic mechanics hand tools. This vehicle is 11 years old. I recommend you perform a complete cooling system service at the same time you replace the water pump. Drain, flush, replace the thermostat, replace the water pump, pour in a 50/50 mix of the correct antifreeze and distilled water. (Do not use tap water). Bleed all air from the system. Also inspect the radiator hoses and heater hoses. Replace as necessary.

Engine won't start. pcm needs flashed 1999 to 1996 pontiac 2.4 to 2.2 engine swap.

Correct, when swapping the 2.4 to 2.2 liter engines, the ECM needs to be swapped out to. The program to the 2.4 and 2.2 engines are different due to the difference in timing and the extra internal engine components.
Thank you for using Fixya and good luck.

1999 Pontiac Sunfire Leaking water in Passenger Interior

The evaporator drain is plugged with debris and filling up the heater case. Remove the 90 degree elbow and clear the drain hole at the case.(pencil or piece of wire) You will know that's it when it dumps out a half gallon on the floor. Be sure to reinstall the elbow to keep out rain/ road spray.
