ok will do it again, this will be the 3rd time someone scan the ecu, 2 of the times at the dealer and they did not find any codes, also the 3rd scan did not find anything, will try one more time at autozone and will let you know...tks!

We cannot confirm the ECU is faulty all of a sudden.
First scan the ECU for any codes. If there is any codes it will let you know..

Most autozone does the scanning for free.

If the dealer is very sure that the ECU is not throwing any codes please have a check done whether the ECU is working fine...By checking the signal flow to and from the ECu and then confirm if it is faulty..

1996 3.1L Pontiac Grand AM all gauges went crazy

sometimes when the battery is too low the gages will go haywire.check you battery terminals for good conductivity and current levels. sounds like a low current problem.computer runs on 12 volts not 11 or 10. low current will give poor performance and bad electrical response.
try that first then look for shorts under the dash ie naked wires or burnt wires.
good luck.

Low Fuel & loss of all gages randomly after stero install

i had a 1995 c1500 and the wipers went out. i took it to the dealer and they took the radio out and put a new one in. the wipers worked fine. they told me that the radio controled 15 different things other than the radio its self. i would put the factory one back in and see if the problem continues. if it solves the problem i would get a harness from a installer that the local super center or an automotive store
