If you can cut the heater hoses off from the heater core at the fire-wall, and then use a piece of pipe or a hose adapter and hose clamps to join or connect the two heater hoses together, then you can actually drive the vehicle until you require heat from the heater core inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle.

Are both heater hoses hot when the heater is on? Look for the water control valve to see if it's letting water into the heater core. The core could be plugged too.

My Audi A4 has raptured one of the water pipes for the radiator, what could be the cause of this.

I am of the opinion Audi makes the coolant pipes for the radiator and heater core out of compressed coffee grounds ! Due to components mandated to be bio degradable in Germany...components do just that....bio-degrade while you drive ! Only recourse is new radiator.

If your radiator has already done this, you are a short while from the heater core pipes at the firewall doing the same thing...... Replacement of the heater core is a 16 hour job.

My 96 audi a4 has a leak some where, it seems to be coming from the dash in the passenger footwell and is forming a lake in the front and back of the passenger side.I also found some pinkish rubber hose...

sounds like the heater core has gone bad.it is under the dash on the passenger side. this could be the problem.have your mechanic check it out.good luck, hope this helps.

96 audi a4 heater blows cold air

you have air in the system!! you have to unbolt the filler tank and lift it 5 inch higer first. then loose the right hose on the heater core( this hose have and hole to bleed the system) and then put antifreeze until the antifreeze will go out of the hole then re install the hose to the heater core, then ajust the level correcty
have fun

Audi A6 1996 heating not works

the heater cores in these cars get clogged very easily and it is very common to see these symptoms. pull both the heater core hoses off of the heater core, and backflush it with your garden hose. flush one way, then the other, untill you see clear water coming out. then re attach the hoses, re fill your coolant reservoir, and see if that helps.

Audi a6 heaters not given out hot air

the heater cores in these cars get clogged up very commonly. pull the heater hoses off of the heater core in the engine compartment, and use a regular garden hose to backflush the heatercore. spray in one way, then the other, untill clear water is coming out. then refill your coolant reservoir and see if that helps.

No heat in 00 a4 1.8t Q

To flush the heater core disconnect the two heater hoses under the hood. Use a garden hose to flush out the core by spraying water into one hose connection and water and debri should exit the other opening.
