Have to prime carburtor after idle a few days. allso dies ever time i stop at sign

Donald, my guess is check your fuel filter first-if it is good then the probable culprit is a weak fuel pump -- it is possible that you may need to rebuild the carb. Good luck dear

Which way does the mixture screws have to go to clean out the carburetor on a 1980 Ford Econoline 250 4.9 liter

I hate to disapoint you but the mixture screw will not clean out your carburator. It is vary easy to rebuild this carb I have an 85 2.8 2 barral have rebuilt it 4 or 5 times for about 30 dollars for kit its a Rodchester .So get the kit get some brake cleaner with the tube to spray through the passages its basiclly a power valve and new gaskets take it apart and clean it and it will work like new evertime

How do I tighten the hand brake cable on my 94 Toyota Tercel?

First make sure the rear breaks are ajusted or replaced when worn out drum to be skeemed aswell. Usally whe rear brakes are ajusted hand break will stop car on two to four clicks on hand brake rachet. If brakes is ajusted check cables for wear . Then ajust cable insite car remove hand brake cover and you will see a ajustable screw or nut. Rememeber to put the handbrake on four clicks and dont tighten screw or nut to much the brakes will lock

I tried to replace the mass airflow sensor but it still stalls. I need a new full throttle body. Where can I order one and how much?

check your idle air control valve. it controls the idle speed. when it gets gummed up it can no longer adjust idle speed. remove the IAC and spray with carburtor cleaner. also clean the throttle bore and throttle plate.

Also check for computor trouble codes. most auto parts stores will check this for free

My 1970 rodchester 4 barrel carberator's rod from the primary intake butterfly is disconnected from the the choke on the inside of the carb. Can I connect it without taking it all apart?

Good question. I think you do have to unscrew the float bowl cover and tilt it until the link will slip on the choke. It has a little key on it, right? I believe this is your unloader that cracks the choke open when the throttle is wide open, right? Without seeing the picture of what you're looking at, that's about the best I can tell you. The float bowl is usually easy to take off and put back. Just don't drop any screws into the carb.
