First check 12v + to the coil then coil between each pair of 2 of the 3 contacts resistance in ohms to make sure it is good. (my '91 5.2L 4x4 had 250,000 miles on original motor when she gave her life to save me vs. an oak tree) the problem your having happened to me at about 85,000 miles, if its not that , my computer went at 140,000

1988 dodge dynasty 2.5 L is turning but there is no spark. there is fuel, the spertine belt is going. have already replaced the hall-effect switch with no new reseluts. have checked the coil and unplug...

Check first to see if the distributor is turning. If it is, the problem is either the pickup, coil, module, rotor, distributor cap or wiring.

I have a 1989 dodge dakota truck with a 3.9L. there is no fire going to the coil. i have replaced the module and the coil. still won't start. I get code 34 please help me to diagnose this problem. thanks

Replace the Automatic Shutdown Relay. If that doesn't fix the problem, the other place I would look, would be the Hall Effect Switch inside the distributor. You should be able to change this part without removing the distributor. If the computer doesn't get a signal from the Hall Effect, it will shut down the ASD, which supplies power to the coil and the fuel pump.

I have 1998 dakota cranks but no start no spark how do I check?

Do you hear the fuel pump when you cycle the key?
If not, then Check the ASD - auto shut down relay ,under hood, drivers side, distribution box
Only got computer,crank sensor,and coil
The distributor hall effect sensor, is for the injector timing,do not move the dist.,

Is the ignition switch and neutral switch okey

If you got no wiring diagrams or experience with a volt meter, your in a tough spot.

Y does my 1990 honda accord crank but not start when i stall twe times

probably ignition distributor , very common on this.
I'm saying distributor because it's all in one unit , coil ,hall sensor , igniter etc.
Cheaper and more effective to repl. distributor then parts in it. Ck if you have spark , if not - 99% it's distributor.

Where is the crankshaft sensor located

your ignition system doesn't use a Crank sensor, it uses a distributor Hall Effect magnetic pickup, both parts do the same thing but in very different ways, the hall effect is located inside the Distributor. here is the part number.
