Hi:
Most Ball joints have an internal or external snap ring, that must be removed, and then the entire ball joint is pressed in place.
the threaded part does not come out of the joint.
If you are serious about changing them yourself, most auto parts stores, such as Autozone, have a loan a tool program, and have the tools you need to remove the ball joint from your car!

i was talking about the spindle threads. we got them loose with a ball joint separator...that was the easy part. then ti took a week of constant hammering and lubing but we final knocked the joint out. we needed a bigger hammer...no less than 5 pounds.

2000 ford mustang front door panel speaker removal instructions?

you will have to un screw your door lock. pop off your door handle inside bezel which will reveal a screw to take off. pop off the panel with the power window and mirror switches that will reveal another screw to take off. as soon as you do that the door will have to have all of the push clips popped out by taking either a special claw tool for it or you can use a flat head screw driver at the bottom of the door panel. as soon as you un clip all of the clips you lift up on the door panel to remove it ands that gives you access to the speaker

Electric front seat stuck in forward position. It's a 2002 Camry. I moved the electric adjustment completely forward looking for an item and it would not return back to the original position. Both tilts...

I had the same problem on my 2003 Toyota Camry. The threaded drive screws are what spin underneath the seat and cause the seat to move back and forth (same way a garage door opens or closes). When the seat gets all the way in the forward position, the threading on the drive screws ends, which causes the bolts connected to the seat to jam and get stuck. It should sound like the motor is trying to turn but it won't, it just clicks. Un-jam the bolts and rotate them one rotation from the all the way forward position to ensure your seat is reinstalled straight.

Mustang rear brakes

nice car i have one myself but the back brakes are a little bit tricky because you can not just push the brake calipers piston back into the bore. but here is how you can do it. you need a large plieres and you have to put the head of the pliers into the calipers piston then spread apart the handels so that the head of the pliers opens up against the inside walls of the piston. then all you have to do is Turn the piston back into its bore. See the rear caliper piston on the mustangs are just like a bolt. they are threaded into the bore and when your pads were they screw them selves out so when you redo your brakes you have to screw them back in just like a bolt. I hope this helps you out on this and if you have any more questions about this procedure just let me know and i would be more than happy to assist you in this.
please rate me if you would
thanks

Passenger side window goes up to far, why? the window rubs the cars trim over window when closing door....2003 mustang gt is car,i took door apart and noticed what window sits on at base/bottom looks to...

I think that there are supposed to be set screws in these, but don't quote me, you'll have to push the window back into the cradle and look for where the set screws should be and replace them with an equal size screw or bolt.

Changing a brake light

Rear: Brake, Back-up, Tail, Turn signal (3 bulbs, all # 3157) To access the rear bulbs, open the liftgate and remove the two phillips head screws from the side of the housing. There is no 3rd screw. There is a metal rod with a ball tip which is stuck in a rubber socket on the vehicle. Slowly and firmly rotate the assembly away from the vehicle until it disengages from the ball pin socket that secures it in back. Rotating it away from the vehicle give you leverage to smoothly disengage the ball from the socket. Each of the three light sockets, all containing the same exact bulb type, can be removed by turning them counter-clockwise 1/4 turn.
