Re: 2002 Dodge Neon
The code definition is internal pcm fault. if the car has less than 80,000 miles on it you may have federal emissions warranty left and the pcm would be covered by this warranty. the pcm or engine computer needs to be replaced. i would suggest taking it into a dealer because the new computer needs to be programmed after installation and only the dealer can do that.

Th transmission control module performs a test to check the integrity of the ROM memory allocation. And compares the calculated checksum with the stored checksum if there's a discrepancy it sets the light on. The computer will shut the light off after 6 consecutive drive cycles in which it doesn't detect the problem.
hi, i have had this problem on a vehicle a couple of years ago, it turned out to be the voltage stabilizer on the back of the clocks, a good auto electrician should locate it and replace it for you, they are cheap to buy, hope this helps, thanks for useing fixya
Did you change all of the fluid in the transmission?
Did you use ATF+4 in your transmission after it was fixed?
Your transmission solenoid may be contaminated and can not operated properly. Your transmission is computer controlled the solenoid talks to the computer and the computer tells it when and what gear to use.
