You probably mean fan clutch, the fan clutch is a electrically controlled device that regulates the rotational speed of the cooling fan. A failure of the fan clutch will set the check engine light.

2004 envoy xl When ever I turn on the rear ac it comes in short bursts and most of the time does not even work.

Sounds like it could be a relay failing. Find the relay for the rear blower fan and switch it with a like relay.

My heater/blower fan will not shut off in my 2005 envoy even after my ignition is turned off and key is out, i've read a few similar problems on this, what is the solution and how much will it cos

Depending which HVAC system you have Manual (sliders for temperature) or Auto (digital readout), the control module is likely at fault. The Manual HVAC has a Resistor Module (which have a high failure rate) and the Auto HVAC uses an electronic module. Both of these are mounted next to the blower motor located behind the glovebox.

I have a 2004 gmc envoy my car has been surging like cutting out.We hooked computer up 2 it n it read map sensor i replaced it but still doing same thing what could it be now if i replaced the part it...

The fault codes don't always indicate the actual part failure, but the general area of a possible problem. The first thing to do with a problem like this is to clean the throttle body. Make sure to disconnect the battery when doing this procedure because it will cause the computer to reset and relearn with a clean throttle body.

2004 envoy sounds as if it has no oil. no oil lights are on though. where should the oil pressure gauge be ? the need is in the middle. It sounds as if it is riding hard. I remember a car I had that...

The Envoy's oil pressure gauge is not showing actual oil pressure, the computer calculates the reading based on engine RPM and the on or off signal from the oil pressure switch. You need to first check the oil level on the dipstick, than have a mechanic put a manual oil pressure gauge on the engine to read the actual oil pressure.

Heater/AC fan only works on the 4 and 5 settings. Is it the switch? Fan runs well.

Either the switch or the resistors on the blower. Get shop manual remove switch and jump terminals the manual tells you to do to check switch. If a-ok then do checks for the resitor on the blower motor. Hopefully its the switch.
Good luck

My 2004 gmc envoy stalls when sitting at the light or idling to long

premium gas is a waste of money. domestically produced and sold cars are actually calibrated for econo gas. well, based on what you told me and the type of vehicle, i'd invest in some well-needed maintainence (COMPLETE tune up with AC Delco platinum plugs, fuel filter, air filter, pcv, cap and rotor) don't skimp on cap quality either- told ya -they're problem-prone. BUT with the "check gauges" light coming on, my bet is you're experiencing the warning signs of imminent fuel pump failure. gas gauge been bouncing or not reading accurately?
