Yes the water pump made a big difference , no more over heating and don't over fill your water bottle , only to the cool level , because you over fill that it will also spit water out too..littlebit59

Ford Escort 1.9L - The fan for the radiator does not come on and the car overheats. I have checked the fuse & its fine and there is water/coolant in the radiator. What can it be?

if the car is overheating whist driving it normally and not sat in traffic then it could be as simple as the thermostat needs replacing, are you using water if so your head gasket could have gone as for the fan the temp sensor could have gone unplug it and short the connections on the wiring the fan should start up ( ignition on) if it does replace the sensor

1997 ford escort 2.0L engine is overheating. it has a radiator that is 3 yrs. old, a new head gasket, re-machine heads, water pump and timing belt that are 2 yrs. old, new thermostat and several radiator...

try this, wearing rubber gloves(cos its hot)undo the topmost hot hose clip and expell any air trapped.also use a hotwire to check
electric fan(s) if fitted.if they run it aint them.do they operate when idling and hot,if not then its the sensor.or if you have a viscous fan is that working.....when hot you will feel a resistance to turning by hand when the engine is stopped..another telltail that the thermostat is gone is,does the guage go down when you turn the fan on full heat for the interior??...cant think of anything else.....

Overheating, and water coming out feeder pipe

Check the thermostat and the water pump for normal operation. If both check out ok, it could be a blown head gasket.

I have a possible solution... Have you had the cars computer checked to see if it may be that the computer is not telling the fan to turn on? I will also look into a possible alterantive answer to this as well.
