Usually caused by button on steering wheel breaking or the wire grounding out somewhere in the column. You have to remove the steering wheel with a puller to see what's wrong. If you need instructions, please let us know.

I took my battery out of my 2001 S60 volvo. when I puy the battery back in the horn starts blowing and the wipers go even though turned off.

My horn starts blowing for no reason


Either the relay for the horn has gone bad, the wiring going to the horn has shorted out, or there is something wrong with the pad and/or wiring for the horn in the steering column. Have a mechanic look at the wiring on the horn, that's the most likely cause.

I have a 2001 porsche boxter and the horn started blowing for no reason and the fuse blew, when i replaced the fuse the horn starts blowing and i have to take the fuse back out to get it to stop.


so you know the horn is working,the wiring from the fusebox is working,the only thing left is the hornpush or the wire from the horn push to the fuse........

wiggle the horn on the colum if it stops then the spring on the horn pad has gone bad

horn and dome on same circuit check fuse for voltage on both sides on your stereo you could hook to an ignition terminal in ur fuse box
