Question about 1988 Mazda RX-7
Can someone tell me exactly where in the trunk is the bypass valve is? Looked in my trunk for 30min and couldn't find anything.

SOURCE: convertable top not working
Open the pump bypass valve for the top to manually open/close top. Bypass valve is located in trunk on left; remove round 2" cover and turn the exposed valve anti-clockwise.
Problem of motor not moving top is likely low on pump oil. Remove cover on left in trunk and refill slowly after removing the fill plug on top of pump. Use 10w30 oil.

SOURCE: top will not go up
apply 12 volts to the top motors independantly after you check fuses of course.. see if the motors are bad. they usually go out at the same time.. not too bad to replace.
