My first car was a 62 Karmann Ghia and I cut the seats and tracks near flush and installed Recaro's. Use a sawzall or similar or take to a metal fabricator or welding shop for help

Driver seat wont move back

Of course they do not have to buy the seat. You can remove the seat and some tracks bolt to the bottom which you can replace with a good used one for less than half the $$$ .

Loose drivers side seat on 1998 acura

if you look , you'd have seen them.
but id bet it not the bolts. but do look
what you do is look at the track.
the track has 2 parts. bottom and top
if you wiggle the seat and the :
bottom wiggles with top , the base is loose.
if the top and bottom tracks , only move there, the track is bad.
there is no visual play at track juncture. so..... if there is, its bad.
if the base and track dont move the seat frame is cracked.
sounds hard, no,
its a 10 second job, you look and see what is loose.

now my wild useless guess.
the someone removed the seat, and its on back on track.
or as my fat boss did, broke the seat frame.

Passenger seat in 1999 Pontiac sunfire is jammed forward

normally the seat tracks are bolted to the floor or riser. It is possible that when the seat was moved forward the track moved over the head of a mounting bolt and will not return. check for interference between track and rail while trying to return seat.

Front seat will not slide forward? The seat will move up and down, tilt, and the lumbar works? Even the heated/cooling seat works? What do I need to look for and how do I fix it:?

The power seat in the truck has 3 motors, one of them is not working, the most common cause of this is the power seat switch is defective, it is often the forward and reverse seat positioning switch that fails because it is the one that is most used. If the switch checks ok then you will need to replace the the power seat track assembly, Ford does not sell any parts for the track, it is only available as one complete unit, I know this because i retired form a Ford dealer. The drivers power seat moves in all directions but does not back as far as usual

Check the inside of the track for an obstruction. You will need to move the seat all of the way forward, but you should be able to see if there is something obstructing it and keeping it from moving. The dead give away is if the seat moves up after you move it all of the way back, there is something in the seat track.

Pt cruiser seat adjuster problems - my drivers seat power seat adjuster doesn't work (as of yesterday ) and it is stuck in the fully forward position - it there anything i can do? it would only move up...

You might have a problem with the wiring under the seat. The best thing to do is to reach under the seat and move some of the wires away from the track that the seat moves along. Most likely there is a short to ground because the wires are rubbing against the seat track as it is moved back and forth. You need to grab a flashlight and look under the seat for wires touching the seat tracks. When you find them, you can most likely use some electrical tape to wrap the exposed wires and keep those wires from touching each other and that area from touching the seat track. Make sure you route the wires away from the seat track tight enough to the seat's underside, but loose enough to allow the wires to move with the seat as it travels the full length of its track. The fuse for the seat has probably blown so you would need to replace the power seat fuse AFTER you wrap and reroute the wires to prevent blowing the new fuse.

Hope this helps!

Front driver seat only moves apx. 2" back from the front of the track. Fuses are good. Back of seat controls work. The pre sets do not move the seat back.

Make sure there is nothing obstructing the seat from under the seat track.Sometimes things fall down there and will jam the seat track.Move the seat up all the way and look it over real good under the seat.Hope this helps.
