It could also be fuel injector o-ring leak, fuel pressure regulator leak , one of the fuel lines, or fuel filter. After driving, when you shut it off pop the hood and walk around it and try to pin point the smell

Smell gas while driving inside car

A leaking fuel line can be discovered by looking for gaspuddles under your car when parked. A fuel-injection line may also leak, causing you to notice the smell of gasfumes during and immediately after driving. A fuel-tank vent hose may also leak, causing unburned gas to exit your fuel system as vapor.24 Apr 2015

Gas smell and burning smell from honda 1997

Could be two different problems.
If the check engine light is not on, I would look at the vapor canister for the gas tank. Its usually mounted in the engine compartment.
If you have a small oil leak, the fumes will be sucked into the passenger compartment thru the cowl vents.

Im driveing and smelling gas in car

sounds like a gas line but if you filled the tank up and smelling gas then it sounds like the tank has a leak. try parking in a dry spot after driving the car home and see if you have any wet spots under the car..

Car has gas smell when heater is on

my question is do you smell gas when outside the vehicle? chances are it is pulling "fresh air" from outside the vehicle and might be pulling vapors due to thew fact you have a gas leak under the hood. check your engine while running and if a gas leak is seen. turn it off imediately and repair it. do not drive it until then. happy holidays

Smell of gas while driving

If you smell gas while driving, check for leaks first.
Look under the chassis near the gas filler neck. Check under the hood for raw gas odor around the engine. If your hoses are not leaking, your car may need a tuneup. It could be burning too rich.

Gas smell after driving

this sounds like a saturated gas vapor recovery cannister, (part of the evaporative emission control system) have the paper filter on the bottom of the cannister checked blockage, otherwise the fumes can't be sucked out by the emission system on start up purge cycle and u get this gas smell.
